It seems like we returned from Costa Rica just in time for project deadlines and finals. However, this year is very different form the other three. I feel refreshed and eager to finish out the semester on top. My attitude is different from that of my other peers. They look tired and worn; anxious for the end of the semester. It seems that they are in need of the coffee boost.
The saying goes, “those that start at rest remain at rest and those that stay active remain active.” I could not agree more. The exciting coarse work of the study abroad program coupled with the exhilarating atmosphere of the Monte Verde region invigorated my senses and my enthusiasm for education. Now that I am back in the classic city, the usual challenges do not seem so challenging. I now approach exams and projects with an achievable view, after I have my morning cup of coffee of course.
