It’s the day before I leave, and I couldn’t be more excited! When I tell people that I’m headed to Costa Rica for a Maymester all I hear is how beautiful it is. I’m looking forward not only to seeing the beauty of the country and its wildlife, but also to being immersed in the culture and language. While I have never been to Costa Rica, I have been out of the country multiple times so I’m not feeling anxious. Packing has been the most time consuming part of preparation for the trip, as I’ve had to search for quick-dry clothing to combat the humid climate. I’m psyched to get to use my new camera while in Costa Rica! I’ve heard that between the wildlife and scenery students take thousands of photos. I’ll be sure to share some of my favorites when I return from the trip!
