The Society of Aspiring Plant Pathologists (SAPPs) of the Plant Pathology Dept. at UGA participated in the Athens AIDS Walk on October 8th 2016.  This graduate event was organized and coordinated by our very own Donald Gillis, the Social Chair of SAPPs.  Our group raised over $600 to this cause, with a total of $24,000 raised overall by all groups.  The Athens AIDS Walk is a 3 mile walk to raise money for AIDS research and to bring awareness to the discrimination that still affects those with the AIDS.  The SAPPs team ranked 4th in the most money raised by a group. Thanks to everyone that donated toward the cause.
